How Does the Business Days Calculator Work?
In the corporate and logistics world, SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and project deadlines are almost exclusively calculated in Business Days rather than Calendar Days. This means that weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) do not count toward the delivery or execution time.
The Logic
To calculate the business days between two dates, our calculator algorithm follows this logic:
- It identifies the total number of calendar days between the Start Date and End Date.
- It checks the day of the week for every single day in that range.
- It completely ignores any days that fall on a Saturday or a Sunday.
- It gives you the net working day total.
